Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand: The Quest for Prosperity: Shaping the Future of Our Regions

This paper, commissioned by Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, by the Legatum Institute, examines national success.  

It is a data driven analysis of prosperity across six key markets for Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and its members: Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, and the UK.  

The Legatum Prosperity Index examines prosperity across nine pillars: Economic Quality, Business Environment, Governance, Safety and Security, Personal Freedom, Social Capital, Education, Health and the Natural Environment.

The key findings include New Zealand ranking first in global prosperity and Singapore and Hong Kong performed strongly in economic measurements, and highlights that challenges faced by each nation are different.
