Finance Function Forums

A4S convenes senior finance, accounting and risk professionals who are integrating sustainability data throughout the organization and shaping the future of high-quality sustainability disclosure. Our forums provide trusted, practitioner-led spaces where leaders can compare approaches, share real-world experience and stay ahead of rapidly evolving expectations in a Chatham House Rule environment. Each forum focuses on a different part of the sustainability information value chain, ensuring targeted insight while contributing to a connected community.

The A4S Controllers Forum was established in 2023 and was joined in 2024 by the A4S Internal Audit and Risk Management Forum. In 2026, we will welcome the new A4S Capital Planning Forum.

Since their inception, the A4S Forums have grown significantly, with participation from across North America, Europe, and the Asia Pacific region. Below are our co-chairs of the forums.

Controllers Forum

The A4S Controllers Forum is a convening space for those who are leading, and have oversight of, the delivery of an organization’s sustainability related data management, the associated control environment and internal and external reporting. This role can fall under ESG controller, chief accounting officer or other similar roles.

The A4S Internal Audit and Risk Management Forum is a convening space for those responsible for evaluating, managing, and monitoring the organization’s sustainability related risks, including supporting the disclosure and third-party assurance on the organization’s sustainability reporting. This role may fall under Internal Audit Executive, Risk Management Executive, or other similar roles.
