The West Midlands Pension Fund (WMPF) is a Local Government Pension Scheme with over 330,000 scheme members and £17bn of net assets.

This case study shows the steps that WMPF has taken over the past three years to adopt the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures. It provides examples of actions that can be taken as well as some ‘top tips’ from WMPF for fellow trustees.

This practical example is part of an ESG Toolkit for Pension Chairs and Trustees that A4S has created to support trustees identify the practical steps to embedding environmental, social and governance considerations into their investment decisions, reporting, and engagement across the investment chain.
