Transition Planning Workshop (New York)
Time: 09.00 - 13.00 (EDT)
Location: In-person only, New York, USA
Developing pathways to meet net zero corporate commitments requires coordination and support across multiple functions of an organization. Finance and accounting professionals are particularly well equipped to support the organization in achieving net zero by setting and measuring interim targets, securing financing for transition activities, allocating financial capital to emission reduction initiatives, assessing decarbonization investments, integrating net zero into decision making and providing external and internal reporting. This workshop will provide finance and accounting professionals with an understanding of the role they can play in the development and implementation of a net zero transition plan. The CPE-eligible workshop will also provide participants with insights on the recommendations for transition plans established by the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ) and the opportunity to exchange perspectives with peers.
Target Audience: Finance and Accounting professionals that have (or will have) involvement with transition planning. Given the collaboration required for transition planning, this workshop is also open to sustainability professionals that are attending alongside their finance and accounting colleagues.
