Australian Circle of Practice - Finance Culture workshops

In June 2019, A4S hosted two workshops exploring the A4S Essential Guide to Finance Culture in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia. These workshops, in partnership with CA ANZ and CPA Australia, looked at the practical tools which help finance teams develop a culture which embraces multi-capital decision making and support the business in creating long term sustainable value.

Organizations that want to move towards broader value creation and a sustainable business strategy require a structured and systematic approach if they are going to achieve successful, sustained change. The A4S Essential Guide to Finance Culture found that the finance function was often citied as a barrier when attempting to move the organization to a sustainable business model. If change is going to be possible, businesses need the support of the finance function to succeed and the culture of the finance function needs to embrace sustainable decision making.
