ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

This interactive workshop will provide a comprehensive overview of how to get ready for sustainability assurance, equipping participants with the knowledge and skills to navigate the evolving landscape of ESG reporting and assurance. We will also include a deep dive into some of the key elements of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosure (TNFD) Recommendations and explore the case for action and current practices. A key component of the course will be to discuss approaches and challenges with other participants to enable peer exchange.

Target Audience: Finance, Accounting, and Audit professionals that have (or will have) direct involvement with the sustainability assurance process, including preparation for assurance and are (or will be) involved in nature-related financial disclosures. Given the collaboration required for sustainability assurance and nature-related reporting, this workshop is also open to sustainability professionals that are attending alongside their finance and accounting colleagues.

 

COURSE OBJECTIVES

After attending the workshop, participants should be able to:

  • Describe sustainability reporting and assurance requirements, including from regulatory bodies
  • Understand the role of the controls and technology in enhancing sustainability data quality
  • Recognize and apply key nature-related terms, understand current practices and challenges and the key components of TNFD
  • Develop actionable steps to prepare for sustainability assurance and enhanced nature-related reporting

There is no cost to attend this workshop. Due to this program being offered free of charge, there will be no refunds issued.
