Launch of the Canadian Chapter of the A4S Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Leadership Network

In partnership with CPA Canada, the first international chapter of the A4S CFO Leadership Network has been launched in Canada.
Members of the Network currently include CFOs from the Insurance, Finance, Communications, Transport and Public sectors.

This event was an opportunity to learn more the Chapter and its planned activities over the next year.

Background to CFO Leadership Network

Established by HRH The Prince of Wales in 2004, A4S convenes senior leaders from across the finance world to inspire action to drive a fundamental shift towards resilient business models and a sustainable economy. The A4S CFO Leadership Network was launched in December 2013 with the following aims:

  • Support the CFO community in the creation of sustainable business models
  • Share insights, challenges and opportunities to accelerate progress towards accounting for sustainability
  • Work together to transform finance through the development of practical tools, methodologies and approaches that enable sustainability to be integrated into decision making
  • Influence the environment within which organizations operate through engagement with investors and other stakeholders
